The subject
Édouard Glissant was a leading voice in debates centering on the postcolonial condition and on the present and future of globalisation. Dr Sam Coombes (University of Edinburgh), drawing largely upon his recently published book on Glissant, addresses the implications of anglophone-led globalisation for the francophone world in general, not just ’postcolonial’ communities such as those of the francophone Caribbean.
