The Italian Cultural Institute and the Consulate General of Italy in Edinburgh invite you to an evening dedicated to the Italian Chapel of Lamb Holm, in Orkney, on the occasion of its 70th anniversary.
The Italian Chapel, built by Italian Second World War prisoners of Camp 60, inspired the poignant film Another Time, Another place directed by Michael Radford.
Set during World War II, a young Scottish woman married to a rancher, falls in love with a passionate Italian prisoner-of-war...
The screening will be preceded by The Italian Chapel, a special short documentary by Guendalina Biuso (RaiEdu), about the creative and building process of the Italian Chapel enriched by witnesses and interviews of the protagonists’ sons and friends.
Admission is free but please reserve your seat by email or by phone: 0131 225 5366.
This evening is organised as part of the commemoration within St Magnus festival taking place in Kirkwall, Orkneys Islands, from 20 to 26 June 2014.
