CANCELLED Workshop: Writing for a Theatre Magazine, Guthrie Drama Seminar Series with Dr Dana Rufolo

Friday 13 March 2020 10:00-17:00

The Institut français d’Ecosse is delighted to have Dr Dana Rufolo, who will be holding a workshop at our premises. The workshop is FREE and open to all - availability limited. Become a member and be the first informed of our events. If you are not yet a member of the Institut français d’Ecosse, we invite you to join.

Summary of Workshop:
In this course on writing for a magazine you will be introduced to the art of writing theatre criticism as an analysis of a theatre production, taking into account the aesthetic rules drama must follow, as well as your own personality and the cultural context in which you live (your era, your national identity, your value system). This approach is laterally applicable to other forms of criticism: film criticism, literary criticism, dance criticism, art criticism, and criticism of the sort of open-ended performances you often see in art galleries and museums. In this brief workshop, you will start to discover how exciting it is to see, interpret, analyze, and write about the arts.

Please consult the website: www.playsinternational.org.uk
