Continuing our look at dance in French art, this part 2 will concentrate on those artists who created wonderful sets and costumes for the Diaghilev Ballets Russes: Cocteau, Derain, Matisse, Braque, Delaunay ,Rouault, Utrillo and of course, Picasso, who, though not French, lived and worked in France for most of his life.
The exciting designs of these artists reflected the modernist movements of art in Paris in the 1920’s.
