Did the Hundred Years’ War start in 1154 when the English King Henri Plantagenêt married Aliénor d’Aquitaine? There might be some truth behind this slightly simplistic question. Successively Queen of France and Queen of England, Aliénor played a central part in the relationships between the two Kingdoms. Did this role make her a powerful woman? This is one of the questions Patrick Landri will try to answer in his talk.
