Le Consulat (1799-1804)

“End the Revolution”: that was Napoléon Bonaparte’s bet after the Coup d’État of 18 Brumaire year VIII (9 Nov 1799). To set up a new system with a strong executive power, accepted by French people and able to ensure the order they were aspiring to, even at the cost of the republican model.
