The DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) and the DALF (Diplôme Approfondi en Langue Française) are official diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education. They are valid for life, are a great plus on your CV and are recognised internationally.
The DELF and the DALF are made up of 6 independent diplomas corresponding to the 6 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: DELF A1, DELF A2, DELF B1, DELF B2, DALF C1, and DALF C2. The exams are divided into two parts: the first part is listening reading and writing and the second part is speaking.
There are 3 equally valid versions:
* DELF/DALF TOUS PUBLICS, for adults (Levels: A1 to C2)
* DELF JUNIOR, for teenagers aged 12-18 (Levels: A1 to B2)
* DELF PRIM, for children aged 8-12 (Levels: A1.1 to A2)
