Our cinéma programme for Institut members is back in full force, screening a new film every Wednesday at 2:00pm and 6:30pm. These events are free, but for members only. We invite you to book early and if you are not yet a member of the Institut français d’Ecosse, we invite you to join. Our film this week is La Bataille de Solférino by Justine Triet (2012, 1h34min).

Synopsis:
It’s May 6th, 2012 and the second round of the presidential elections are underway. Laetitia, a TV journalist, is to cover the event amidst the masses gathered at the rue de Solférino. It is also the day where Vincent, her ex, shows up, certain of his visitation rights, to see his two young daughters. Let the battle begin!
