British Council Scotland
The British Council is an international organisation involved in educational and cultural affairs. It works in partnership with many Scottish institutions to enhance the quality of education through international contact. It notably participates in the organisation of academic exchanges.

Scottish Centre for Information on Language Teaching and Research (SCILT)
One of the principal goals
of the SCILT is the promotion of the learning and use
of all languages of relevance to Scotland. A large
resource centre is available for students and teachers
of languages with language learning and teaching materials.
SCILT organises an annual programme of conferences and
seminars for professionals involved with languages in
all sectors of education.
