Sonic Fusion
Festival tries to bring together what’s new in
international contemporary music. It consists of concert
performances, electronic audio, and audio-visual installations
as well as many educational events (including performance,
composition and workshop activities for children; and
masterclasses, demonstrations and informal pre-concert
talks for of more general public interest).
This year it invites the French Ensemble Linea from
Strasbourg which will give a concert alongside the Scottish
Research Ensemble on the 28th September. They are making
a portrait of the music of Eliot Carter.
It also celebrates the 100th anniversary of Olivier
Messiaen’s birth
