The
French Institute is springing forward to summer time:
- This summer, in
the field of visual arts, an exhibition of works
by a French artist connected to poems will be
shown at the Institute. This project is part
of the Edinburgh Art Festival 2008.

- From Edinburgh
to Orkney via the Borders, the IFE is celebrating
music in all its genres: The Diotima Quatuor
is performing an outstanding concert in the
Queen’s Hall in April, the St Magnus Festival
is paying tribute to Messiaen in June, Music
at Paxton Festival is inviting a French pianist
in July and Roland Tchakounté is invited
to the International Jazz & Blues Festival
in Edinburgh in August. And – of course
– let’s not forget La Fête
de la Musique which will as every year make
music resound from the IFE and its surrounding
areas to the Danish Institute!
