Please join us for drinks and cakes at an open Reception to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaties of Rome.
The Treaties establishing the European Economic Community (EEC) and the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom) were signed on 25 March 1957 in Rome by Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. These are the treaties that are now commonly referred to as the “Treaties of Rome”.
Our festivities are part of a series of events around Europe. It will be our contribution to the celebration of a Union that promotes peaceful cooperation, respect of human dignity, liberty, democracy, equality and solidarity among European nations and peoples.
