Fête de la Musique

Saturday 18 June 2011 12:00-23:30

Institut français d’Ecosse

13 Randolph Crescent Edinburgh EH3 7TT

We regret to announce that due to unavoidable circumstances the Fete de la Musique is cancelled on Saturday 18 June.

However, Music is celebrated all week long at the Institute with the programme of cineconcerts ’From Silent to Loud’ from 20 to 24 June.

And to mark the end of this musical feast, join us to the closing party on Friday 24 June from 8.00 pm. Olivier Mellano and the band Montgomery will go on stage to offer you a fantastic concert joyfully mixing their own tracks along with some covers and improvisations.

The licenced-bar in the Gallery and the cafe-restaurant downstairs will be open to serve you fresh food and drinks.

Created in 1996, Montgomery is a young and dynamic band from Rennes, and a revelation of the Transmusicales Festival. Mad boys and gentlemen musicians, creative and professional, these five friends have been developing a surrealistic and authentic universe as original as well as mad with pop rock influences!

Rennes offers one of the most exciting current bands: Montgomery confirms its baroque inspiration on a crazy first album. Les Inrockuptibles.

It’s the upcoming French band. We’ve been looking for a sound like that for a while! This group pays tribute to pop rock genre. Radio France International
