French Film Festival UK Poster Exhibition

From 1 December 2021 10:00 to 15 December 2021 18:00

We’re delighted to be hosting this exciting poster exhibition for the French Film Festival UK, the result of a collaboration between the Festival, the Mobile Film Festival in Paris and Edinburgh College of Art, on the theme of “Women’s Empowerment”.

As part of the French Film Festival’s partnership with the Paris-based Mobile Film Festival (1 MOBILE, 1 MINUTE, 1 FILM), students at Edinburgh College of Art were asked to conceptualise and create a poster inspired by one of the one-minute films from the official “Women’s Empowerment” selection – the 2020 theme for the Mobile Film Festival. The posters are the students’ creative responses to the one minute silent or French language films.

The thought-provoking interpretations explore the theme and encourage the audience to consider and reconsider “the norm” of gender roles and women’s place in the world.

QR codes will be displayed beside each poster so that you can watch the one minute film which inspired the composition.
