Grands Bordeaux

Friday 25 May 2012 18:00-20:00

Institut français d’Ecosse

13 Randolph Crescent Edinburgh EH3 7TT

Bordeaux wines are often seen as being synonymous with excellence. Margaux, Petrus, Rotschild or Yquem are all wines which symbolise perfection, and yet, even if these wines are not always at our disposal we will be explaining why and how these wines have become so distinguished. We will also discover how to choose a good wine by studying the label of a bottle. Whilst trying some of the great wines of Bordeaux we will be speaking about the diversity of Bordeaux vineyards as well as discussing their heritage and the villages of Bordeaux which have become mythical in their own right.
