CANCELLED Groupe de lecture: « Le turquetto » de Metin Arditi

Every month the group meets to discuss a book selected in advance (from classical to contemporary French literature) and discover the other members’ views on them. The discussion is held in FRENCH.

In March, the group will be discussing Le Turquetto by Metin Arditi (1995, Folio Gallimard).

About this event:
Metin Arditi, born in Ankara in 1945, is a Swiss francophone writer. His studied physics in Lausanne (Switzerland) and at the University of Stanford (England), before becoming the President of « L’orchestre de la Suisse romande » in Lausanne. In 2012, he was appointed « Ambassador of good faith » by UNESCO.

For Turquetto, Metin Arditi paints the vivid fiction protrait of Titian’s mysterious pupil from the rebellious spirit of his imaginary early youth in Constantinople through his recognition as a Renaissance painter in Venise where he exiled tofinally end up at his downfall.
