To celebrate the French Film Festival UK 2011 and the end of the Brittany-Scotland year, we invite you for a special restrospective of French director Claude Chabrol’s films.

’Chabrol en Bretagne’ is a 3 films cycle focusing on Brittany, region that Chabrol was particularly inspired by and where he shot half a dozen of his films. Supplemented by an exclusive documentary where the master reveals some parts of his mystery, this retrospective is a tribute both to the director and to the gorgeous Breton landscapes.

Raoul Mons, a Breton catholic writer, is hired by a city council to censor a blasphemous drama. A short time later, he is found dead, lying naked on the beach, with red offensive inscriptions written on his body. Inspector Lavardin, a former lover of the widow is called on the crime scene...
