After a failed marriage, Agnès Le Roux returns to Nice in 1976 to meet up with her mother Renée, who owns a casino. There, the young woman falls madly in love with Renée’s lawyer Maurice Agnelet, who quickly turns her against her mother. But Agnès disappears in 1977, leaving no trace. Thirty years on, Agnelet remains the prime suspect in a murder case with no body and no proof of his guilt...
