L’Oreille musicale: Breton rock

Saturday 19 November 2011 14:00-15:00

Institut français d’Ecosse

13 Randolph Crescent Edinburgh EH3 7TT

The second event of this series is an encounter with the members of Santa Cruz prior to their acoustic concert. With them we will explore the band’s influences, and talk about the band’s experience as accompanying band for the new tour of French singer Miossec,

Santa Cruz is a French band that makes world music. They sing in English and their music mixes pop, folk and Americana. Their influences go from Elvis Presley and Grandaddy to Wilco and Nick Cave… They catch the attention of other international bands like Archive who remixed one of their songs ‘Game of Pool’ and invited them on the recording of ‘unplugged’ (2004).

Come along and meet the members of Santa Cruz, and have a chat with them about their music before seeing them live in the Theatre.

Admission free
