In the hours leading up to a runway show, some designers fall into a fury, restitching the stitches, second-guessing the entire collection. Others sip Champagne and wait for the seats to fill. Le Jour d’Avant is a ten-part documentary series by French director Loïc Prigent following designers in the 36 hours before they send their designs down the catwalk.
Karl Lagerfeld for Fendi
48 hours before the catwalk, the Italian house of Fendi and its creative director Karl Lagerfeld prepare a Milan showcase of new Fendi fur, ready to wear and accessories. Private jets and Italian screams are the schedule for those last hours before the show.
