Membre fantôme

In their performance, Erwan Keravec and Mickaël Phelippeau question the transformation of identity – the person we used to be but who is now gone forever. This is the ‘Phantom Limb’ which gives its name to their show. The two artists – one, a bagpiper, the other a choreographer – share a reflection around that notion of identity in art. This exploration is embodied by the dancer and the bagpipes themselves, both charged with personal and traditional history, which the performers abstract skilfully to open up a deeper conversation.
