An illustrated lecture-recital to celebrate the poetry of Paul Verlaine as set to music by Gabriel Fauré, along with the new Peters critical edition of Fauré’s complete songs.

Christopher Underwood and Roy Howat of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland will be joined in performance by Conservatoire vocal and piano students. Scots pianist Roy Howat is Research Fellow at the RCS, where Christopher Underwood for many years was Head of Vocal Studies and is now specialist vocal professor in French repertoire.

The rehearsals will be open to the public from 14:30 to 16:15. There will also be a short recital at 16:30. Please feel free to drop by!
