The rich and graphic exhibition presents the excellent work of 25 students from the HND 2 Professional Photography programme at Stevenson College Edinburgh. Headed by two lecturers, Alan MacEwan and Jon Lee, the group went on a two week photographic exchange trip to Paris last April, to shoot a documentary project about Parisian culture as part of their courses curriculum.
They shared their time between working, visiting great photographs exhibitions and investigating French culture and gastronomy. Only armed with essential language skills, they were welcomed by staff and students of CAMPUS, a French apprenticeship photography college based in Paris.
After exhibiting these photographs in Paris, the students and their lecturers are fully prepared to show this work in Edinburgh for the first time.
About the artists
Inspired by Parisian culture and by the hospitality of their fellow French counterparts, the Scottish students took an enriched educational experience out of this trip. The Stevenson College is one of the biggest Colleges in Edinburgh and the students in HND level are destined for becoming brilliant professional photographers. This intensive exchange trip was funded through the Leonardo da Vinci Lifelong Learning Programme which promotes partnership, exchange and mobility in Europe.
