Room Hire

The Institut français d’Ecosse enjoys imposing premises in Randolph Crescent, one of the most desirable areas of Edinburgh. Several spaces within the Institute are available for hire to accommodate professional and private events.

  • Theater

  • Gallery

  • Classroom

  • Bistrot

The Theatre

With views over Randolph Crescent Gardens, the Conference Room can accommodate up to 70 seats. This room can be arranged either as a normal conference room with rows of seats, or as a more informal room with round marble tables giving a more “café” atmosphere.

This room is equipped with a large cinema screen, video & data projector, broadband Internet access, wired and wireless microphones, 2 Tanoy Speakers, CD player, Video Player, DVD player, blackout curtains.

The Gallery

With outstanding panoramic views over the Dean Valley and the Firth of Forth, the Gallery is suitable for hosting private events such as breakfasts, work meetings, press conferences, receptions, buffet lunches and dinners.

French doors offer an easy access to the Gallery from the Theatre, allowing the Gallery to accommodate coffee / tea breaks and buffets for events taking place in the Conference Room.

Classrooms

Our 6 recently refurbished classrooms can each accommodate up to 15 persons. All those rooms are equipped with CD/Tape players, Televisions, VCRs and broadband internet connections. DVD players and date/video projectors are available upon request.

Le Bistrot

Tucked away in the second basement of the Institut, Le Bistrot is one of the best kepts secrets in the West End. Its cosy French atmosphere, opening on a lovely terrace, offers the perfect setting for corporate breakfast or lunches and small meetings. Le Bistrot can accommodate up to 40 seats.

Please note that all those areas are subject to availability.
