Talking About the Weather

Clara is studying for a doctorate in philosophy in Berlin. However, she still does not feel like she belongs to this intellectual, cold and careerist elite. The university environment repays her, always returning her to her modest origins, even to her condition as a woman. For her mother Inge’s birthday, Clara goes to the Mecklenburg of her childhood, in the former GDR. This return to her roots confronts her even more with her status as a class defector, especially since her mother limits herself to wanting to talk about the rain and the good weather.
