Tue 10 NovAs the title would suggest, That Summer in Paris is less a postcard from the Olympic Games than a snapshot of the City of Light at a very particular moment in time. The focus is on 30-year-old Blandine who travels from Normandy to watch the swimming competitions.
Overwhelmed by the city’s chaos and a streak of misfortune, she navigates the bustling streets and an unexpected reunion with her half-sister Julie whom she hasn’t seen for ten years.
Nothing goes quite according to plan in this constantly surprising and touching debut from director and co-screenwriter (with Mariette Désert) Valentine Cadic.
