Victoire – SOLD OUT

Fri 08 Mar

Victoire (La Cordonnière) tells the story of Victoire Du Sault, the first woman to practice the cobbler’s craft in 19th-century Québec, defying the norms at a time when the profession was exclusively reserved for men. Explore the life of this overlooked pioneer, one of the first women to establish her own business in Québec.

Although this visionary’s entrepreneurial spirit and professional background are the heart of this melodrama, impossible love, a sulfurous love triangle, and a shocking family secret may leave no one unscathed.

As part of the Mois de la Francophonie 2024

This event is now sold out.

The film will be presented by Ms Ingried Boussaroque, Director of Cultural Services at the Délégation générale du Québec à Londres and followed by a cocktail in partnership with the Délégation générale du Québec à Londres.
