Les Fils Canouche embrace the mixing of genres and the fusion of influences, shaking up the age-old codes of jazz to make room for improvisation in a sensitive and daring approach. Tirelessly exploring acoustic energies in every direction, the group freely ventures into world music, gypsy jazz, and Latin sounds..
After a successful tour in France, Les Fils Canouche are heading to Scotland with their new album “Les Pantophiles”. This new opus perfectly illustrates the eclectic and energetic universe of the group by mixing different musical styles such as Latin music, jazz or even gypsy swing.
The title “Les Pantophiles” reflects the open and cosmopolitan spirit of the group, which constantly explores new sounds. The term “pantophile” refers to a person who loves everything, which seems to correspond to the musical philosophy of the group: a quest for varied harmonies and rhythms from diverse musical cultures.
