This year the Franco-Scottish Society of Scotland celebrates 130 years of actively promoting friendship and understanding between the Scottish and French peoples through educational, cultural and social activities. To mark this anniversary, the Society is hosting an afternoon of dynamic and informative discussion focused on Franco-Scottish relations as they play out today in the international workplace. The event will comprise two Round Tables featuring highly-regarded speakers from the sectors of film, food and drink, marketing, renewable energies, science and tourism; the discussions will be chaired by the French Consul, M. Stéphane Pailler, and the writer and broadcaster Peter MacMahon. The event will be of interest to those who follow, analyse or promote cultural and economic exchanges between the two countries, as well as anyone contemplating a future Franco-Scottish career.
