Tom Sochas makes his debut appearance at the Institut français d’Écosse presenting some brand new mountain-inspired music recently composed out in the Arctic Circle off the coast of Norway which will feature on his up-coming album, as well as tune from his previous critically acclaimed album, The Sorcerer. He’ll be joined by master bass player Theo Malka-Wishart on bass and the inimitable Filippo Galli on drums. Influenced by the likes of Esbjorn Svennson, Brad Mehldau and Eyelolf Dale, you can expect a blend of delicate contrapuntal melodies and hard-hitting grooves.
