Our partner the library Blackwells is launching a brand-new Loyalty Card scheme on Monday 2nd November. In addition to a general card open to everyone, they are also launching a Blackwell’s University Card which will be available to all members of the Institut français d’Ecosse who hold a membership card with us. This new scheme will replace any discount currently offered to members of the Institut français d’Ecosse.
Holders of the Blackwell’s University Card will get a stamp for every £10 they spend and when they have accumulated ten stamps, they will be eligible for £10 off. The Blackwell’s University Card will offer an additional 5% discount every time, as well as allowing the card holders to accumulate stamps and spend accrued credit. This equates to a 15% discount overall.
The Blackwell’s University Card will be useable in Blackwell’s (and Heffers) stores only, not online. Some exceptions apply (Rare Books, book tokens, Blackwell’s vouchers etc.)
The process for getting a Blackwell’s University Card will be as follows:
-
Sign Up: customers will sign up for a card at the till-point by providing their email address which will be entered into a till screen form and a physical card issue
-
At this point the customer will be able to accrue stamps, but not redeem them until they have activated their card. The 5% discount will be available after the card holder has signed-up (ie it is not dependent on activation).
-
Activation: the card holder will receive an email within 24 hours inviting them to activate their card online. They will do this by creating an online account. There will be an opt-in to receive marketing emails at this point.
-
The Blackwell’s University Card will be renewable every three years.
